Hi everyone, this summer has been a blur of weaving beads large, gigantic and small! I have just completed installing 2 major exhibitions that are now open to the public. The first opened on September 14th at the University of Waterloo Art Gallery and the second is at The Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery (CCGG).
If you regularly drive down Caroline St. in Waterloo, or you attended the recent Lumen Festival, you may have already seen one of my stainless steel sculptures outside the front doors of the CCGG. In addition to the outdoor sculpture, I am thrilled to be included in the Beyond the Bead exhibition alongside Anishnaabe artist Barry Ace.
I will be updating you on my summer activities in the next newsletter. For now I would like to invite you to the Beyond the Bead opening at CCGG on Sunday October 1st, 2023 at 2pm. I will also be running a Pendant Workshop at CCGG on November 4th where I will be teaching basic bead-stitching techniques, tips and tricks. Only a few more seats are available. If the demand is great I will do another work shop, so feel free to email them if it is full. You can sign up for the workshop here
See you Sunday!
